Aneya Abacus (FAQ’s)

1) What is an Abacus?

Ans: An abacus is a calculating device. With the help of an abacus frame consisting of 17 rods and nine beads on each rod, children can do additions and subtraction till 10 crores easily and quickly. We teach addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimals using this device.

2) Why Aneya Abacus ?

Ans: Aneya Abacus is a specially designed program as per our Indian School Methods. It’s a 100% Brain Development Program in which children use both their hands for calculations which activates their left AND right brain.

Normally we depend largely on one hand for writing or doing work – however, with Abacus we use both the hands simultaneously which not only helps in engaging the function of both parts of the brain at a time but also increases concentration, visualization, recalling, confidence, and overall performance in any activity that children do, whether its sports or studies.

Aneya Abacus is a unique blend of ancient Indian and the Soroban Abacus process where Meditation, Brain Exercises, Both Hands Handwriting and Mental sums are taught to the children. 3) How many levels are there in Aneya Abacus?

Ans: Aneya Abacus consists of total 11 Levels. Junior, Senior and O Levels are three levels which are specially designed for the little kids from Sr. Kg to 2nd Standard. The duration is three months for each level. For 3rd Std & above -1st Level to 8th Levels are provided. The first level consists of four months and other levels are three months each. Hence, the total length of a comprehensive Aneya abacus program is around 2 ½ years to 3 years.

4) Is the Aneya Abacus class conducted daily or weekly? Does it affect other studies?

Ans: Aneya Abacus class is conducted once a week for two hours. It doesn’t affect studies as we work with India school Methods so it’s a part of the school curriculum and there is very less homework given to students.

5) What is Abacus Mental Sums and how it will help my child?

Ans: Mental Sums is the technique of doing calculations mentally without using physical abacus device but only visualizing abacus and moving beads virtually. The mental sums practice helps to calculate faster than calculator AND with accuracy. Mental sums help children in any entrance or competitive exams where duration plays an important role and no calculator or any device is allowed.

6) How are the Aneya abacus classes conducted?

Ans: Aneya Abacus class is conducted as an online + offline model. Those who want to take physical classes can attend the same at our centers and those who wish to learn online from their home can opt for online classes. Currently we have online students from different states of India and countries like United States, Germany, Australia, Dubai, Canada, Netherlands, Philippines, and New Zealand.

7) How will I be able to help my child in abacus practice as I have not learnt abacus?

Ans: We give special training to parents to monitor their child, including correct hand and finger positions while doing mental sums. We also provide a Mental and Oral Sums Practice Book in the student kit which is specifically created for the parents to take mental sums practice at home. In case of any help regarding abacus, our trainer will always help you offline and online as per your chosen method.

8) How are the exams conducted in Aneya Abacus?

Ans: After completion of portion of each level the mental, oral, and practical exams are conducted. After the results the student is promoted to the next level.

9) Do you conduct International Level, National Level, State and District Level Competition?

Ans: Yes, we conduct International Level, National Level, State Level and District Level Competitions every year. We have also conducted World’s First International Aneya Abacus Mental Sums Competition where our students from all over the world had participated.
